Extended Care 2006-07
St. Madeleine Sophie School will be offering extended care (before and after school) for our students. Our program is geared to provide a “home away from home” where children are encouraged to play, relax, create, and learn in a supervised setting.

Drop-Ins: Since the program has limited capacity, we need to determine if there is adequate supervision for your child. Therefore, we can ONLY accept drop-in students with prior approval from the school office. The drop-in rate is $25.00 and is due on that day.
The St. Madeleine Sophie Extended Care Program is financed by the parents who participate in theprogram; it is not subsidized by the school or parish. Prompt payments are essential to the program and should be separate from the monthly tuition check.
ACTIVITIES
Quiet inside activities will be provided in the morning.
The afternoon program will include:
- Outside Play
- Organized Indoor Play
- Quiet Time (homework, crafts, story time)
- Snack.
Other activities might include walking field trips (to learn about the neighborhood or take a nature walk) or Metro bus rides to the King County Library. Prior to the event, parents will be asked to complete a Field Trip Permission form authorizing their child to participate in the activity. Specific information (dates, time, purpose, etc.) will be included on the form.
