Cindi Karpen EMAIL
Cindi joins us this year to continue her successful career in early childhood education. She was instrumental in the creation and development of the St. Anne School PK Program, upon which our own design was modeled.
A Washington native growing up on Mercer Island, she now lives in Bellevue. Cindi is a graduate of Forest Ridge HS & the University of Washington. She has gained experience working with younger-aged children for over ten years and earned Early Childhood Education Certification from BCC.
A mother of three great children all attending St. Madeleine Sophie School, Cindi enjoys the sun, the outdoors, all water
sports and tennis whenever possible.

Rosie Daudt
EMAIL Mrs. Daudt is a Montana native where she grew up with 6 other siblings - all attending Catholic schools. Rosie has worked at schools in this Archdiocese for the past six years, most recently as Kindergarten Assistant at St Anne School in Seattle.
Rosie joined St Madeleine Sophie in 2006 to assist in the Pre K classroom. She is currently attending North Seattle Community College to complete her Early Childhood Education degree.
Along with husband Larry, Rosie stays busy raising two teenagers, both of whom attend Bishop Blanchet High School. Together, they enjoy attending basketball and football games and relish trips back to Eastern Washington and Montana to visit relatives and relax. |

Abby Nestvold EMAIL
Abby Nestvold heads our Primary Dept. team as Lead Kindergarten Instructor. Abby holds a Bachelors of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Washington State teaching certification from the University of Washington. She also holds a
Masters of Education in Reading and Language Arts from Seattle Pacific University.
Abby has taught Kindergarten, first and third grade. As a long-term parishioner, she has taught many years in the St. Madeleine Sophie Faith Formation program. She is currently finishing the Catechist Certification Program through the archdiocese.
Abby loves working with children, reading good books and baking cookies, all of which are why she loves teaching kindergarten. When not at school, Abby and her husband David are busy enjoying their three teenage children, and dreaming about visiting warm climates, swimming and kayaking.

Leanna Schmitt
EMAIL Leanna Schmitt was raised in the Seattle area and is an honors graduate of Gonzaga University. She accepted the role of Primary Class instructor for our first year and is currently teaching first grade. She graduated with a Washington State teaching certification and received her B.A. in Religious Studies.
During her time at Gonzaga, Leanna received specialized training in reading instruction and learning styles through her work as a literacy tutor for primary students. She also enjoyed working with children in various service projects provided by her classes and her membership in the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honor Society.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and is looking forward to learning to golf. She is also excited to begin a volunteer group in Seattle that focuses on a different community issue each month.

Kara Thielman EMAIL
Kara completed last year as our Lead PK instructor. This fall she moves to staff our additional First Grade classroom. She is a recent graduate of Gonzaga University, growing up in Spokane at Assumption parish and attending Gonzaga Prep. She comes to us with a very impressive collection of references from her supervising teachers and professors, most notably, her success with an autistic student. Kara has subbed for us on a number of levels and will be a valuable addition as we grow into future years. |

Jennifer Agostinelli EMAIL
Jennifer Agostinelli was born in Spokane Washington. She attended Eastern Washington University where she received her BA in education. She graduated with a major in Reading and a minor in Early Childhood Education. Jenn is the product of Catholic education and attended Catholic schools kindergarten through high school.
She moved to Seattle in 2004 and has been working in the Archdiocese of Seattle and the Lake Washington School District as both teacher and substitute instructor in Kindergarten through fourth grade. Last year she teamed with Mrs. Nestvold to direct our second K class. She has demonstrated herself to be a very valuable part of the St.Madeline Sophie team.
Jenn enjoys spending her free time wake boarding, reading, watching Gonzaga University basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Rob Boostrom EMAIL
Rob is excited to be teaching the 4th and 5th grade class this year after joining us in 2006 to lead the 2nd and 3rd graders. He especially looks forward to another opportunity to work with a multi-age group.
Rob was raised in South Texas and attended Catholic schools at Saints Cyril & Methodius School and Incarnate Word Academy. He studied Political Science and Education in the Honors Program at Swarthmore College. During his college years, his love for teaching was kindled while working with the Breakthrough
Collaborative in San Jose and Fort Worth.
Rob enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading good books, listening to new music, and visiting friends and family. Despite relocating to Bellevue, he remains an avid fan of Texas sports.

Brian Fulmer
EMAIL
Brian Fulmer was born in Pontiac and raised in Cadillac - cities in Michigan, not cars.
He is a graduate of Earlham College where he studied religion and holds a Master's Degree from the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program.
Brian taught 5th and 6th grade for five years in Atlanta, GA, and spent a year working at a public access television station back in Michigan, where he did . . . everything. He has finally joined the majority of his siblings in the Fulmer migration to Washington state.
In his free time, Brian enjoys reading, camping, hiking, and fishing.

Karen Pasqualetto

Karen Pasqualetto is originally from California and relocated to Washington in 2004.
In California she used her law degree from the University of the Pacific to build technology companies and founded her own consulting firm. For career "Number Two" she pursued teaching and finally found her calling. Karen taught sixth grade at St. Elizabeth School in Oakland.
Karen's favorite floppy-eared friend is Alex the mini-dachshund. International travel is at the top of list of favorite activities. Her husband Chris works in business continuity for the Starbucks Corporation and both try to get away on trips as much as possible.
Karen went to Catholic schools through 12th grade and considers faith and morality important components of educating our youth.

Graig Sifferman EMAIL
Graig was born in Seattle, Washington. He attended Western Washington University in Bellingham where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Graig then went on to City University where he earned his Masters in Teaching.
Graig has coached both soccer and basketball and hopes to put that expertise to good use at Madeleine Sophie. He hopes to instill a love of athletics, or at the very least an active lifestyle for all the students at St. Mads. Graig can't wait to get started helping the Seraphs develop pride in their performance, and above all sportmanship.
Graig is also a sports fanatic, he loves to play any sport, especially soccer and golf. He also will attend any sporting event, especially football, GO HAWKS!

Judy brings her wealth of experince to the Middle School Dept., primarily in the subject area of Language Arts. She will team with Mr. Sifferman in the 6th/7th grade homeroom.

Dan is nearing his thirtieth year in education in Washington State. During the bulk of that time, he has held numerous teaching, coaching and administrative positions in the Seattle Archdiocese. His longest tenure was at St. John School in Seattle where he was principal from 1984-1999. During that term, he was also elected regional representative to the Department of Elementary Schools Executive Committee for the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) located in Washington D.C. and was a delegate to the NCEA’s National Congress on Catholic Schools for the 21st Century and its follow-up convocations. He is a 1993 graduate of the NCEA Principals’ Academy and in 1999 was honored as Distinguished Catholic School Graduate. From 1999-2004 he served as Executive Director for the Washington Federation of Independent Schools (WFIS), our state’s umbrella public policy voice for private schools and advocate at the state and national levels. Dan holds a B.A. in Biology from Western Washington University and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Seattle University.
His joy in life is sharing any free time possible with his wife, Mary, Vice Principal at St. Anne’s in Seattle and their four (somewhat) adult children, each a product of Catholic schools, K-16.

Holly Cole joined the SMS staff in March 2005. As manager of the school office, she is our daily source of all sanity!
Holly comes to us from the City of Seattle's Human Resources Department where she served as Personnel Specialist and Accomodations Coordinator. Previously, she spent ten years as office coordinator at St. Anne School in Seattle. Before moving to Seattle, she was Personnel Director for a department store chain in Southern California.
A current member of the St. Anne School Commission, Holly served as chair during the 2005-06 school year. She was also Parents’ Club President when her daughter was attending the school (last century).
Holly holds a BA in sociology from California State University, Los Angeles with additional graduate work in Special Education. She lists reading and music as favorite activities and recently began taking dancing lessons. Don’t look for her anytime soon on TV.
