In Technology class, 1st Grade enjoyed practicing their computer mouse skills with Valentine’s activities on ABC Mouse! 💘
Yesterday at Mass, our 5th Graders led the community in prayer as we prepare for Lent. They spoke about the three pillars of Lent: Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving.
One impactful way our school community can give alms this Lent is through the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Rice Bowl program.
“Jesus, bread of life, as we encounter you in the Eucharist this Lent, nourish us with your love, unite us in communion with our brothers and sisters, showing us how we are connected. Transform our hearts, that we may be moved to share bread for life with our global family and work for a world where we can all thrive.”
So grateful for our community and the beautiful participation at our Family & Parent Mass today 🙏💙 Parents helped lead the way through the readings, bringing up the gifts, and sharing the prayers of intention — including heartfelt prayers in Spanish and Portuguese.
Today was a powerful reminder of the faith, diversity, and unity that make our school family so special. Thank you to all who joined us and helped make this Mass so meaningful!

🏀 SMS Alum Shoutout! 🏀
We’re proud to celebrate Eastside Catholic’s first-ever Special Olympics Unified Basketball team this season!
This incredible inaugural team includes five SMS alumni. Siblings Alice and Thomas serve as Unified Partners, along with Alice’s classmates from the Class of 2024—Michael, Peter, and Frannie. Peter is also joined by his older brother, Luke, another Unified Partner.
Together, they are promoting friendship, teamwork, leadership, and inclusion while helping make this first season meaningful and successful. Way to go, team! 💙👏
